Job summary

Foster Farms in Kelso, WA is hiring for a packaging-line role. You will remove packages from baskets, load them onto infeed belts, and stack baskets while keeping work areas clean. Expect a cold environment and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Move wheeled racks weighing 200–400 pounds; lift up to 80 pounds repeatedly.
• Work in cold conditions with provided freezer gear.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Pay rate starting at $19.00 with shift premiums of $0.50 for hours worked 4pm-midnight and $1.00 for hours worked midnight-8am.
Longevity premium of $0.25 after one year of service. Attendance Premium of $0.25.

Job Description

• Remove packages from baskets and place them on infeed belts to pre-price scales.
• Stack empty baskets and dividers; keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Move wheeled racks 7 baskets high weighing between 200 – 400 pounds.
• Lift, push, and/or pull up to 80 pounds repeatedly.
• Work in cold conditions using provided freezer gear.
• Maintain and improve quality and food safety to ensure compliance with company quality. Standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision and Lead personnel.
  

Qualifications

• Report regularly and on time to work as well as work all required hours, including overtime and weekends as scheduled.
• Understand and follow established rules and procedures as well as accept constructive feedback.
• Work safely and set an example of good working safe habits.
• Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all Food Safety procedures.
• Walk and stand on concrete floor, grating, or metal stand in a cold environment for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
