Job summary

Right at Home Indianapolis West is seeking weekend-only Home Health Aide / CNA caregivers to provide compassionate in-home care to seniors and vulnerable adults. You will support daily living activities, accompany clients to appointments, and deliver companionship in a respectful, patient-centered manner.

Ideal candidates have a CNA/HHA certification or current eligibility, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must read, write and understand English.
• Possess valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Background check clearance.
• Certification in CNA/HHA/PCA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care as needed (transfers, bathing, grooming).
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms.
• Prepare meals according to instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Administer medication reminders and ROM exercises.
• Dementia care and companionship activities.

About the Role

As a Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to provide personalized care and companionship to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. Our Caregivers deliver high-quality care that improves the overall quality of life for our clients, and we are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team.

Responsibilities

As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for performing personal care activities that assist clients with activities of daily living, which include:

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities such as vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading and music

Qualifications and Skills

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
• Ability to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred
