Job summary

Echelon Care and Rehab in New Jersey is seeking a Wound Care RN to join our weekend team, providing clinical oversight of skin integrity and wound healing across the facility. The role requires an active NJ RN license and advanced wound care knowledge, with experience in geriatric care.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate of a state-approved school of nursing and currently registered as an RN in NJ.
Specialized wound care certification (e.g., WCC, WOCN, CWS) is preferred.
Up-to-date physical assessment skills and comprehensive knowledge of skin and wound management are required.
Recent experience in long-term care or rehabilitative wound care is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Implements geriatric and chronic care nursing principles for wound prevention and management.
Performs comprehensive skin checks daily during weekend shifts to identify injuries.
Carries out physician-ordered wound treatments and ensures proper surfaces are in place.
Reviews weekend charts for skin history, nutrition, and wound staging.
Oversees charting and documentation for residents with skin-related needs during weekend shifts.
