Job summary

Warsaw Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Warsaw, NC is hiring a Weekend Wound Care Nurse to join a dedicated care team. Shifts are 8 hours on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with opportunities for growth and ongoing staff support.

The role focuses on wound care, patient assessment, and collaboration with licensed nurses to ensure high-quality care. RNs and LPNs licensed in North Carolina are welcome to apply, with comprehensive benefits and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current North Carolina RN/LPN license.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Nursing team to plan and develop skin care treatments.
• Provide wound care as needed and supervise subordinate staff.
• Administer medications within RN/LPN scope and maintain narcotics records.
• Maintain charting and evaluate residents’ status per care plans.
• Round with wound physician weekly and as needed; refer residents when necessary.
• Ensure infection control practices and safety precautions are followed.
• Assist with admissions and re-admissions and communicate effectively with residents and families.
