Priority Pet Urgent Care of Germantown is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant for weekend, limited-hour coverage. Responsibilities include triage, restraint, lab work, imaging, meds administration, and compassionate client communication in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Veterinary Assistant.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Compassionate and calm team-player.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively.
• Proficient in sample collection, lab tests, radiographs; anesthesia monitoring bonus.
• Self-starter with desire to advance knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples.
• Diagnostic imaging and radiographs, nursing care of medical/hospitalized cases.
• Administration of medications and treatment plans communication with clients.
• Surgical preparation and assistance, anesthetic management.
