Job summary

i9 Sports is seeking a Baseball Coordinator for the South Inland Empire region. You will work as a part-time contractor on weekend shifts, supporting coaches, running practices and games, and ensuring safety and fun for players across age groups through hands-on involvement.

You will empower volunteer coaches, enforce rules, and model sportsmanship while coordinating field setup, timekeeping, and game management. Requires transport, a background check, and a flexible weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from the venue workplace.
• At least 2 years of sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.
• Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems.
• Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players.
• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, :7 weeks).
• Must have a smartphone with internet capability.
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check (required).

Responsibilities

• Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values

• Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
• Assist volunteer coaches during practice time with drills and be able to answer questions they may have
• Supervise the overall operation of designated sports on game day

Job Summary

The Baseball Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches. The Baseball Coordinator will need to build relationships with players, parents, and coaches while making sure that the instructional aspects of the i9 Sports Experience are delivered. Observing, assessing, and assisting our coaches is paramount. The position entails hands‑on involvement with practices and games among all age groups and skill levels.

Regional Details

Our programs rotate seasonally to use the best facilities in the area. This position covers our South Cluster, including:

• Eastvale, Norco, Corona, Riverside, Chino Hills, and Jurupa Valley.
• Assignment locations vary by season. Reliable transportation to all cities in this cluster is required.

Payment for this position is based on a game rate structure.

This means that as an independent contractor, you will be paid weekly based only on the number of games you successfully work during that period. Your total weekly compensation will be the established rate multiplied by the number of games completed; it is not a fixed salary or an hourly wage for time spent outside of game duties. This structure directly ties your earnings to your active participation in scheduled games.

Each franchised location is independently owned and operated and is solely and exclusively responsible for determining local hiring decisions, compensation, benefits, and other terms of employment.
