Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) seeks a PRN Utilization Review Coordinator in Jacksonville, FL, including weekends, with a pay range of $26-$37 per hour. The role monitors treatment activities, interfaces with the treatment team and managed care organizations to ensure quality patient care, and collaborates with referring professionals for continuity of care.

Responsibilities include completing concurrent reviews for mental health and dual diagnosis patients in inpatient and outpatient settings,

Qualifications

• RN, LPN or Master’s level Social Worker with Utilization Management experience.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to monitor and evaluate records for quality and appropriateness of care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor treatment activities and interface with treatment team and managed care organizations to ensure quality patient care.
• Collaborate with referring professionals for continuity of care.
• Complete concurrent reviews for mental health and dual diagnosis patients (inpatient and outpatient).
• Complete appeals and follow-up until a final decision is determined.
• Communicate effectively with treatment team members, physicians and hospital staff.
