Dunbar Security Solutions is seeking a dependable Truck Gate Security Officer for our Lynchburg, VA location. The role focuses on access control, trailer verification, patrols, and maintaining site security procedures during a weekend shift.

The ideal candidate will be attentive, organized, and comfortable in an industrial setting where accuracy and professionalism matter. This is a part-time, weekend position reporting to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong observation and written/verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable transportation and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Verify truck and trailer information before entry and exit.
• Check trailer seals and confirm shipping information matches site records.
• Control facility access and allow entry to authorized personnel only.
• Conduct routine patrols across the property and assigned areas.
• Observe site activity and report suspicious behavior or unsafe conditions.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and security equipment as assigned.
• Prepare incident reports and activity logs clearly and accurately.
• Assist with emergency response procedures when necessary.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and site contacts during shifts.
• Support company safety standards and security procedures at all times.
