Job summary

iHeartMedia in Phoenix is seeking a part-time Board Operator to ensure broadcasts run smoothly and sound great across live and pre-recorded shows.

You will operate the broadcast console, monitor on-air quality to FCC standards, coordinate with talent and traffic teams, troubleshoot issues in real time, and support remote broadcasts and events as needed.

Strong technical aptitude with NexGen and Adobe Audition is preferred, and availability for early Sunday mornings is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong technical aptitude with broadcast equipment and audio editing.
• Ability to operate within FCC regulations and schedules.
• Willingness to work early Sunday mornings with weekend availability.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasks under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.
• Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing, and FCC compliance.
• Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams for smooth transitions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escalate when needed.
• Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
• Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
• Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed.
