What you can expect as the Weekend Shift Supervisor at DAS Aviation:

The Weekend Shift Supervisor reports directly to the Repair Station Manager and is responsible for managing weekend shift production operations and providing direct oversight to shop personnel. The successful candidate will coordinate daily operational workflows throughout the shift, ensuring high productivity, maintaining stringent safety standards, and fostering a consistently positive employee experience.

You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including
  • Supervising the weekend shift operations for the following specialized departments: Structures, Paint, Nacelle, and Composite Bond.
  • Executing pre-planned repair operations for active work orders, establishing clear workflow priorities, and sequencing tasks for component maintenance within assigned departments.
  • Managing operational schedules and coordinating shop floor activities to guarantee that production processes and final product quality meet or exceed customer expectations and delivery deadlines.
  • Coordinating with supporting departments to implement efficient operational methods and continuous process improvements.
  • Developing personnel within your area of responsibility to successfully achieve departmental performance and production goals.
  • Conducting performance evaluations for personnel within your assigned departments.
  • Providing technical guidance, performance mentorship, and problem-solving support to shop floor personnel.
  • Maintaining all work areas, shop equipment, and tools in a clean, safe, and fully serviceable condition.
  • Assuring that periodic checks and calibrations are systematically performed on special tools and test equipment, and verifying that accurate, up-to-date records of these calibrations are maintained.
  • Ensuring that all required production and maintenance entries on Repair Station work orders are properly and accurately executed by the responsible mechanics.
  • Verifying that all personnel consistently perform at or above established company and regulatory quality standards.
  • Ensuring that personnel strictly observe all relevant safety precautions and protocols for the functions they perform.
  • Supervising the proper handling, protection, and preservation of all components and parts throughout the entire repair and post-completion lifecycle.
What You’ll Need To Bring With You
Your Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent (college-level coursework or a technical degree in a related field is a plus).

Your Experience

3–5 years of professional aircraft or component maintenance experience.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license strongly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and fluently speak English.

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Hands-on experience with both sheet metal and composite structural repairs.

Proven problem-solving capability and the ability to effectively multi-task under operational pressures.

Proficiency in typing and professional electronic communication, including writing clear, concise emails and text documentation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Strong interpersonal skills with a dependable, organized work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on the shop floor.

Routine and repetitive physical motion involving arms, hands, and wrists.

Ability to operate personal computers running Apple and Microsoft products, with specific proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Ability to work on elevated platforms (up to 40 feet in the air) while utilizing required fall-protection safety gear.
