Smiths Group's Heating & Cooling Products division in Byesville, Ohio, seeks a Weekend Shift Production Supervisor to lead the weekend crew, oversee production targets, and maintain quality standards.

You will manage schedules, timecards, training, and safety compliance while coordinating with other shifts to ensure smooth operations. The role demands a hands-on leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate weekend production activities, ensuring goals are met.
• Lead daily weekend shift meetings, assign work, and approve timecards.
• Manage production schedules, payroll, attendance, and training.
• Collaborate with other shifts for smooth transitions and consistent operations.
• Monitor quality, drive safety, and enforce SOPs/JSAs.
• Provide feedback and guidance to team; maintain a clean, safe workplace.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Weekend Shift Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Byesville, OH. In this critical role, you will oversee weekend shift operations, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of production workers.

The work environment is representative of those an employee would encounter while performing the essential job functions in a manufacturing environment which may include loud noise levels, vibration, hot/cold temperatures, and moving objects or vehicles.

Essential Job Functions

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the weekend shift, ensuring production goals are met
• Responsible for daily shift meetings, workstation assignments/rotations, shift paperwork, timecard and production sheet approvals
• Manage production schedules, employee performance, payroll, attendance, timecards, training and disciplinary actions
• Collaborate with other shift supervisors to ensure smooth transitions and consistent operations
• Consistently evaluate productivity and current staff to optimize production efficiencies to meet schedules
• Responsible for quality control, working with team members to adjust as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications
• Manage and motivate team members to achieve production goals
• Support safety policies and procedures within the plant; including safety accident investigation and reporting
• Schedule, communicate, and conduct shift meetings as needed
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
• Provide continuous feedback in an environment that fosters open communication
• Follow all Company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Training on 1st shift required (Mon - Thurs 6:00am - 4:30pm)
