Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking Principal or Senior Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join our Salt Lake City, UT campus. The role drives manufacturing processes for circuit card assemblies and interfaces with customers and leadership for metrics and issue resolution.

The ideal candidate will have a STEM degree with relevant experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance. On-site schedule includes 4x10 or other formats as described.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLM tools.
• Experience with industry standards for electronics build and inspection (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610).
• Experience in a production manufacturing environment for circuit card assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Act as a process owner for manufacturing of circuit card assemblies.
• Develop processes, procedures, and assembly instructions for build of circuit card assemblies.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce cost and schedule impact in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with customers for feedback, metrics, data reporting, and issue resolution.
• Lead root cause analyses using methods like 5 Whys and fishbone diagrams.
• Work on the shop floor with operators and engineers to maintain production flow.
