Job summary

Visiting Angels Marble Falls is looking for a Weekend Caregiver to support seniors in the Highland Lakes region. You will provide companionship, assist with daily activities, and help with mobility and transportation.

Shifts include Full Time, Part Time, 8 and 12 hour options, with opportunities for training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care; weekly pay and benefits are offered to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Passionate about serving others with compassion.
• Emergency response and first aid knowledge.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Respectful, compassionate, and ethical.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
