Job summary

Sizemore, Inc. is hiring a Security Officer to safeguard the assigned facility. You will enforce access control, observe and report violations, and support Sizemore’s values of flexibility, improvement, reliability, safety and teamwork.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ age, and prior security/military experience preferred. Shifts include weekends with potential for growth and advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school graduate or recipient of GED.
• Experience in security, military or law enforcement preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office programs, preferred but not required.
• Commitment to service and professionalism through conduct and demeanor.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and diplomacy when dealing with anyone.
• Initiative and sound judgement in evaluating situations.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in time-sensitive situations.
• Good problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision; read and follow instructions.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment by patrolling and monitoring premises.
• Document security activity with DARs and incident reports.
• Control vehicle and personnel access per procedures.
• Respond to emergencies per procedures.
• Operate specialized equipment as needed (CCTV, scales, computer systems).
• Prevent losses by reporting irregularities and enforcing policy.
• Drive a culture of constant improvement and efficiency.
• Enforce Sizemore’s and client’s policies and procedures.
• Other tasks as required.
