Avride is hiring a part-time Robot Service Technician Assistant to support weekend deployments of autonomous delivery robots. The role focuses on daily operations, maintenance, and preparations across campuses in the U.S., learning foundational robotics and electro-mechanical assembly skills.

Shifts are weekend-based (Saturday/Sunday) with multiple daily options. The position is employed via a staffing partner with weekly pay, requiring authorization to work in the U.S. and no relocation offered.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working in varied field environments.
• Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare robots for the shift: Ensure all hardware and software are ready for daily deployment.
• Put robots/batteries on chargers for the night: Manage power cycles to ensure maximum fleet readiness.
• Clean robots: Maintain physical appearance and protect sensitive external hardware.
• Perform mechanical repairs: Assist with and execute basic repairs on the robot fleet.
• Perform service campaigns: Help implement widespread hardware or software updates across the fleet.
• Assist remote support coordinators: Act as the hands-on field contact for the remote tracking team.
• Perform calibrations and wheel alignment: Ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation.
• Keep workshop clean and tidy: Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace for the entire technical team.
