Job summary

United Security Inc. is seeking a part-time Retail Security Officer for 2nd shift in Cranston, RI. The role requires Saturday 2 pm - 11 pm and Sunday 6 pm - 11 pm, with duties including patrolling, guarding, and enforcing safety regulations to protect client properties.

Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma, a clean driving record, and an active driver’s license. Strong communication and basic computer skills are essential, along with the ability to pass all pre-employment

• Utilize de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts.

Job Skills / Requirements

Retail Security Officer | Full-time | $20.60/hour

Schedule:

Saturday 2 pm - 11 pm & Sunday 6 pm - 11 pm

Security Officer Responsibilities and Duties:

• Guards property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Patrols buildings and grounds to ensure doors are locked and secured.
• Preserves order and enforces security regulations.
• Watches for and reports conditions that could result in injury or loss due to fire hazards, leaking pipes, spills, faulty equipment, etc.
• Use of oral de-escalation methods to control disagreements.
• All other job duties as related or assigned by USI Management.

Security Officer Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent sense of judgment.
• Can stay alert at all times.
• Candidates must also be able to successfully pass ALL pre-employment screenings.
