Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Glenwood Landing, NY is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric care team. The RT will perform assessments, initiate therapies, document care, and participate in IDT meetings, with weekend coverage supported by Saturday and Sunday shifts.

The ideal candidate holds an AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy, is licensed as RRT or CRT in New York, and has BLS certification; experience with tracheostomy and long-term care settings

Qualificações

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsabilidades

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Performs tracking, auditing and caseload management.
