Job summary

Manchester Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility team. You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and provide respiratory treatments tailored to cardio-pulmonary and neuromuscular conditions.

Collaboration with nursing staff and physicians ensures high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include thorough documentation, adherence to regulatory standards, and participation in rehab team conferences.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the respiratory community and related terminology.
• Experience applying clinical knowledge to respiratory therapy interventions.
• Knowledge of respiratory disease and conditions affecting breathing.
• Ability to operate respiratory therapy equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Ability to document clearly for regulatory and billing purposes.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses and therapists.
• Program development and implementation within a rehab setting.
• Management and administration of respiratory therapies as prescribed by physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient treatments meeting individual needs following facility procedures.
• Documents treatment notes, assessments and discharge summaries accurately.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration for patient care planning and conferences.
• Maintains licensure and participates in ongoing education.
• Contributes to the rehab team's program development and quality improvement.
