Job summary

EnergySolutions is seeking a Respirator Technician for a weekend shift in Oak Ridge, TN. The role focuses on the cleaning, sanitization, inspection and testing of respirators to ensure worker safety and regulatory compliance.

Upon completion of training, you will move to 12-hour weekend shifts (Friday–Sunday). You will document inspections, maintain records, and support storage and inventory of related PPE in a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Forklift and crane operating certifications preferred.
• DOE Certified Rad Worker II and respirator qualified.
• 24 hour Hazwoper and RCRA qualified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper functioning, cleaning and sanitization of respirators.
• Performs routine cleaning, maintenance and repairs per OSHA and manufacturer specs.
• Disassembles, cleans, disinfects, inspects and tests respirators for proper functioning.
• Certifies respirators by documenting inspection findings and serial numbers.
• Maintains storage and accessibility of respirators; collects and inventories protective clothing.
