WellPower in Denver is seeking a Residential Counselor I/II to support adults with mental health needs. The position involves supervision, group sessions, and coordination of clinical care within a multidisciplinary team.

RC I requires active Bachelor's enrollment in a related field, RC II requires a Bachelor's degree. A language differential may apply; CPR/First Aid and QMAP are requested certifications. Salary ranges are posted and equal opportunity employment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• RC I: Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
• RC II: Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
• QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Person)
• CPR & First Aid
• Physical required prior to hire and maintained during employment.
• One year of mental health experience preferred; must be 20 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy with consumers to provide support and insight.
• Facilitate group sessions as applicable.
• Coordinate clinical care with case management services and other services both inside and outside of MHCD.
• Assess consumers throughout the workday and provide appropriate interventions.
• Encourage, support, and train consumers in activities of daily living (ADLs).
• As part of a multi-disciplinary system, help facilitate the treatment and continuity of clinical care.
• Complete intake and discharge tasks for consumers being placed in the house or moving out.
• Maintain household safety and document significant consumer interactions toward recovery and continuity of care.
• Complete necessary clinical documentation, such as the daily log and medication records.
• Respond to consumer and building emergencies and coordinate with staff or clinicians as needed.
• Advocate for acceptance and integration of individuals with mental illness within the community.
• Attend scheduled team meetings; maintain a trauma-informed environment; perform other duties as assigned.
