Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking a radiology technologist for weekend shifts, with a 40-hour workweek. The role involves safe operation of radiographic equipment, patient positioning, and adherence to radiation safety protocols in a busy radiology department.

Qualified candidates must be ARRT registered in Radiology, hold an LSRT license, and be BLS certified with ILCOR training. New grads with temporary LSRT licenses may apply and must secure full licensure within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited radiology technology program.
• ARRT registered in Radiology and LSRT license.
• BLS certification with ILCOR courses and manikin checkoff.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic equipment and position patients.
• Apply radiation protection devices and select technical factors.
• Track patient studies and PACS acquisition.
• Fulfill delegated tasks for Radiology Department as needed.
