Job summary

The Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Weekend Option to perform diagnostic imaging, primarily using X-rays, to support medical diagnosis and monitoring.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, correct imaging technique, and strict adherence to safety standards. The role emphasizes two shifts within the weekend window for premium rates and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARTR (R) certification.
• Radiologic Technologist certification in DxBLS (CPR) from the American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Following physician instructions to identify the imaging area
• Explaining procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure understanding
• Correctly positioning patients and adjusting equipment for quality images
• Minimizing radiation exposure for patients and staff
• Adhering to proper techniques, such as patient shielding, for accurate diagnostics
• Completing documentation to maintain accurate patient records
• Performing additional duties as assigned

Education
