Job summary

North Freeze Dry LLC in Little Falls, MN is hiring a Weekend Quality Assurance Technician. This part-time role focuses on QA testing to ensure food safety and product quality across North Freeze Dry Pet Foods products.

You will perform in-process testing, calibrate equipment, generate COAs, and collaborate with production and QA teams to uphold standards. Requires 1 year of QA experience and physical capability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Coursework in Food Safety or related field preferred.
• 1 Year experience as a Quality Technician; or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Ability to see the big picture while focusing on processes and procedures.
• Ability to establish and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with ability to accept constructive feedback.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team player mentality.
• Ability to thrive, adapt and cope in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality testing on in-process and lot samples.
• Conduct food safety, quality, and misc. testing on samples.
• Calibrate and maintain analytical instrumentation.
• Generate COAs for all outbound orders and email to customers.
• Review lab results for specifications and compliance.
• Conduct and document audits and support QA processes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to meet requirements.
• Provide guidance on SOPs related to quality, sanitation, and safety.
• Release materials from hold when quality standards are met.
