Job summary

Mount Carmel Behavioral Health in Columbus, OH is seeking a PRN/Weekend Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide medical evaluations and treatment under the supervision of the Medical Director and clinical staff.

Requirements include a Master's in Nursing, NP program completion, state licensure, and a DEA license. Minimum 1 year NP experience preferred. Compensation includes $1,000 per day onsite and $250 per call shift, with scheduled on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Clinical experience with the facility's patient population.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute or chronic illness as part of a healthcare team.
• Participate in patient Master Treatment Plan formulation.
• Assess physical and psychiatric health and propose care measures.
• Chart observations, evaluations and treatments within guidelines.
• Communicate with physicians and staff to ensure quality care.
• Encourage family involvement and address educational needs.
• Comply with hospital policies, bylaws and regulatory requirements.
• Provide services per state NP guidelines and on-call as scheduled.
• May order or interpret tests and prescribe medications.
