Job summary

Brown University Health's Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island is seeking a weekend Registered Nurse. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the RN acts as a patient advocate, applies the nursing process, and delivers care reflecting age-specific needs and hospital policy. The Weekend Program RN will work 7 p.m. Friday to 7:30 a.m.

Saturday, or 7 a.m. Saturday to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Compensation ranges from $35.70 to $71.40 per hour with weekend differentials; eligible benefits include

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in RI or applicable state.
• Graduate of a nursing program with active RN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients and apply the nursing process.
• Provide comfort and support; involve families in care.
• Assess emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Document nursing interventions and outcomes.
• Maintain clinical knowledge per hospital policies and laws.
• Coordinate with health team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Supervise and guide LPNs/CNAs as required.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
