Job summary

Universal Health Services’ Cypress Creek Hospital in Houston, TX is seeking Week end PRN Therapists to join its multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions with patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting.

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field and be licensed in Texas (LPC/LMFT/LMSW/LCSW).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Current licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW in the State of Texas.
• One year of clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting preferred.
• Must be available to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Complete psychosocial assessments, treatment plan reviews, individual, group and family therapy sessions.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team including physicians, RNs, and other healthcare team members in crisis intervention, creating behavioral plans, discharge planning.
• Conducts assigned therapeutic groups and provides education and advocacy to assist patients in accessing follow-up care.

Position Summary

Therapists are key members of Cypress Creek Hospital’s multidisciplinary team ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective healthcare is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing, and accreditation requirements.

Hours are based on departmental, and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours, as directed by the Director of Clinical Services or CEO/Managing Director.

Job Duties

• Complete Psychosocial Assessments, treatment plan reviews, individual, group and family therapy sessions with established timeframes either face to face or telephonically with all patients, family, and significant others.
• Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team including physicians, RNs, and other healthcare team members in crisis intervention, creating behavioral plans, case conferences, client centered interventions and discharge planning.
• Conducts assigned therapeutic groups. Provides comprehensive education, instructions, advocacy information designed to assist the patient and significant other to identify and secure needed health care follow-up services.
