Job summary

Athra Systems/Crosstown Mental Health seeks a skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care in an in-patient setting. You will evaluate patients, develop and monitor treatment plans, and prescribe psychopharmacological therapies while collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers.

The role requires an PMHNP certification, NC RN/APRN licenses, and DEA registration, with in-person weekend work.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program.
• PMHNP certification.
• Active and unrestricted NC RN and APRN licenses.
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority in NC.
• Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment and treatment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• In-person, weekend role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychopharmacological treatments.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
• Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings.
• Stay current with advancements in psychiatric care and pursue continuing education.
