Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is hiring a Pharmacy Tech Specialist for a part-time weekend shift in the inpatient pharmacy. The team provides around-the-clock service to inpatients, the ED, ORs, and procedural areas.

Minimum one year of pharmacy technician experience and Michigan licensure are required. Six months of specialized training beyond high school is expected, with opportunities for growth and professional development within the department.

Qualifications

• Minimum One-year experience at the Pharmacy Technician level.
• Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan is required.
• Minimum of six months specialized training beyond high school.

Responsibilities

• Performs all job functions of a Pharmacy Technician II on an as needed basis.
• Functionally supervises the daily activities of approximately 30 technicians on an as needed basis.
• Monitors daily work schedule, assigns duties to technicians and revises assignments as needed to adjust to changing work volumes.
• Prepares cytotoxic agents and NICU pharmaceutical products following established guidelines.
• Selects controlled substance orders for delivery to nursing units and reconciles discrepancies daily.
• Documents performance and supports technician evaluations and continuous improvement.
