Job summary

The Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Pharmacist Intern at the Nampa Medical Campus for weekend coverage. You will work under licensed pharmacists, perform professional duties, and gain hands-on experience in inpatient pharmacy operations under supervision.

Responsibilities include preparing and dispensing orders, supporting patient care, documenting services, and collaborating with mentors to develop clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Must be registered as an Extern / Intern by the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physicians’ request under the direction of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assists pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services that are within the state scope of practice for pharmacy interns.
• Ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
• Contributes to the quality and effective operation of the department. Intervenes and communicates effectively with the medical staff and other health professionals.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and foster a cooperative teamwork environment.
