Job summary

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our home healthcare team for weekend and on-call coverage in Taunton, MA. You will provide skilled nursing services directly in patients’ homes and coordinate with care teams to promote health and independence.

The role requires at least 1 year of home care experience, a Massachusetts RN license, afternoon and weekend availability, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

Current Massachusetts RN license.
Minimum of one (1) year of Home Care nursing experience.
Afternoon availability.
Open Weekend Availability.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Providing skilled nursing treatments and interventions.
Responding to weekend triage calls and patient needs.
Conducting skilled nursing visits as needed during on-call coverage.
Administering medications and treatments as ordered.
Monitoring vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions.
Educating patients and caregivers regarding medications, treatments, disease management, and safety.
Providing wound care and other skilled nursing services as appropriate.
Communicating patient updates and concerns with the appropriate members of the care team.
Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation.
