Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is hiring a per diem Occupational Therapist to join our team at a skilled nursing facility in New York. This weekend role offers opportunities to assess residents, plan rehabilitation strategies, and guide therapy sessions alongside a multidisciplinary team.

We provide mentorship, flexible schedules, and access to advanced rehabilitation technology. New graduates are welcome, and per diem weekend hours are available to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve residents’ pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.

Education

OT degree from an accredited program

New York State OT License
