Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Suburban Pediatrics outpatient team, with weekends required. You will room patients, record vitals, document in the EMR, and support providers to maintain efficient patient flow.

Qualifications include completion of a Medical Assistant program and high school diploma or GED. Preferred CMA and BLS within 90 days; less than 1 year clinical experience preferred.

• Less than 1 year clinical experience as a Medical Assistant (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
• Assist with front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Performs basic patient centered care as delegated by provider
• Provides a safe environment for patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
