Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Blackburn is seeking a Saturday Dispenser for the Outpatient Pharmacy at Royal Blackburn Hospital. Duties include dispensing medications, stock control, rotation, expiry checks and using the Pharmacy IT System to support efficient patient service.

You will provide reception cover, respond to customer enquiries, maintain dispensing sundries stock and assist with training and development of the pharmacy team. Core hours 9am–1pm on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Dispense medications to outpatients as part of routine duties.
• Stock control and rotation to ensure stock accuracy.
• Check expiry dates and maintain pharmacy inventory.
• Use Pharmacy IT System for dispensing records and patient data.
• Provide reception support and handle patient enquiries.
• Support training and development of the pharmacy team.
• Based at Royal Blackburn Hospital with Saturday hours.
