Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Certified in Basic Life Support and Certification as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA or NCCT.
• 1+ year of Main OR experience preferred; Ortho experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and practice of perioperative patient care as first scrub for assigned procedures.
• Ensures readiness and flow of cases, coordinating with team for efficient operation.
• Verifies functioning supplies and equipment prior to procedures per surgeon's preference.
• Maintains aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
• Models Memorial Hermann policies and contributes to department goals.
• Provides mentorship and supports ongoing education for staff.
