Job summary

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinating with the care team and ancillary services. Education for patients and families is a key part of the role.

The position requires call duties and adherence to unit-specific performance standards. A BS in Nursing and Florida RN licensure are essential, with ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Nursing required.
• Experience in Emergency Department preferred.
• Must hold current RN license in the state of Florida.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare assigned room/case and assess patient care needs.
• Apply nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to guide care.
• Educate patients and families about their disease process and plan of care.
• This position requires call and adherence to ORN/ICU performance standards.

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Responsibilities include: Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case. This position requires call. Performance Standards Note: Utilize Performance Standards labeled "ORRN" for the ORs and utilize "RN" Performance Standards for the ICU RNs
