Job summary

System Support is seeking an Operations Float, RN/LPN for part-time weekend coverage in Ohio. The role provides clinical support, referral scheduling and acceptance, EPIC orders processing, and nurse line assistance to patients and staff.

Responsibilities include data entry of referrals, benefit verification, initial authorizations, patient contact, and coordinating services with clinical teams. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills to allow accurate exchange of information.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer service skills (internal and external).
• Medical terminology with three years’ experience preferred. Demonstrated competency of standard medical terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• On-call, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• The Operations Float provides clinical support and performs referral scheduling, referral acceptance duties, EPIC orders processing, new orders processing, nurse phone line support and customer service activities.
• These duties include data entry of referral information; benefit verification, initial authorization of services, initial patient contact, and other duties as assigned.
• Provide customer service to patients, physicians, and clinical staff regarding patient issues.
• Provide clinical support for patient care area.
• Responsible for processing requests for service and providing appropriate staff to meet patient needs.
• Coordinate identified problem assessment, implementation and resolution.
