Job summary

Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, NY is seeking per diem Security Officers to patrol the hospital and grounds, preventing fires, theft, vandalism and unauthorized entry. The role requires weekend/holiday work and on-call duties, with day, evening and night shifts available.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, NYS security license, and BLS certification; experience in public safety roles is highly preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a fireman, policeman, correctional officer or watchman preferred.
• Valid New York State Security License required.
• Valid BLS certification required.
• Must be able to drive and have manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital and grounds to prevent fires, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.
• Work weekends and holidays and on-call basis.
• Per diem; day, evening, night and weekends shifts.
