Job summary

A Place At Home is seeking a dependable, compassionate Weekend On-Call Non-Medical Caregiver to provide quality in-home support to clients when coverage is needed. This position participates in a rotating weekend on-call schedule to ensure coverage during weekends.

Ideal candidate has 1 year caregiving experience, strong communication, and reliable transportation. Background checks and drug screening may be required. Join a supportive team and help families when they need care most.

Qualifications

• 1 year caregiving experience.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required.
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet company and applicable state requirements.
• Ability to pass required drug tests and meet company policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, non-medical care and companionship to clients.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, as assigned.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping related to the client's care.
• Provide medication reminders as permitted by the care plan and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients.
• Follow each client's individualized care plan and service instructions.
• Communicate changes in a client's condition or needs promptly to the appropriate office staff.
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA and company policies.
• Accept weekend fill-in assignments and respond promptly to on-call communication.
• Arrive on time and maintain reliable attendance.
