Job summary

Lincolnwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a part-time Weekend Nurse Supervisor. The role leads nursing staff on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring safe, timely resident care and strict regulatory compliance.

Strong leadership, communication, and clinical oversight are essential for this weekend shift. The RN must have an active Rhode Island license, BLS CPR, and at least two years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Active RI RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple residents in a fast-paced setting.
• Minimum 2+ years nursing experience.
• No supervisory experience required; training provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, staff.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations and standards in nursing care centers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented and documented.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs.
• Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritize care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to all applicable nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership.

Part-time, (every other weekend- Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am- 7:00pm)

Range: $38.00-$50 / per hour (all inclusive)

Qualifications for Weekend Nurse Supervisor:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in the state of Rhode Island.

• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.

• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting required.

• No previous supervisory experience required; training will be provided.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, residents, families, visitors, and regulatory agencies.

• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and standards in nursing care centers.
