Job summary

Envive Healthcare seeks a Nurse Manager to oversee nursing care for residents, supervise licensed nurses, and ensure all regulatory standards are met. This role partners with the Director of Nursing Services to develop policies, manage operations, and drive quality outcomes.

Key duties include daily rounds, staff coaching, infection control program development, and coordination with multiple departments to deliver compassionate, compliant care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must ensure HIPAA and privacy compliance across records.
• Demonstrates ability to supervise nursing staff and coordinate care.
• Ability to develop and maintain policies with leadership.
• Experience with infection control and patient safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Complies with privacy laws including HIPAA and PPE requirements.
• Lead daily rounds to observe residents, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain nursing policies with the DNS.
• Manage facility operations under the DNS guidance.
• Document shift reports and monitor changes in resident condition.
• Set quality standards and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with departments, agencies, and professionals for resident care.
• Report to ADNS/DNS and manage interdisciplinary communication.
• Conduct education, QA, and admission screening as needed.
• Use resources efficiently to support resident wellbeing.
• Ensure compassionate care and adequate staffing; maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain liaison between governing body, medical staff, and supervisors.
• Handle physician, family, and vendor relationships in DNS absence.
• Develop and implement infection control programs and surveillance.
• Provide infection control consultation to departments.
• Train staff on hand hygiene, isolation, and universal precautions.
• Lead workplace safety programs and OSHA compliance.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets and exposure control plans.
• Coordinate Hepatitis B vaccination and post-exposure follow-up.
• Develop orientation and training for new employees.
• Conduct in-service education on infection control, directives, and safety.
• Screen admissions for level of care and mental illness as required.
• Collect records and prepare residents for admission.
• Audit clinical records and plans of care; ensure measurable goals.
• Participate in conferences to develop comprehensive plans.
• Monitor care across shifts and coordinate with residents and families.
• Review 24-hour reports and investigate significant changes or incidents.
• Develop and post nursing staff schedules; address staffing shortages.
• Assist with survey preparation and corrective actions during surveys.
• Assist with direct patient care and medication administration as needed.
• Assist DNS with budget monitoring for supplies.
