Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Granger is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for an adult patient in the patient's own home, Friday or Saturday, 12 AM – 6 AM. The role offers hourly pay and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, HSA and life insurance, PTO and a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating home care; administering medications; coordinating care with the prescriber; and providing patient education and discharge planning support.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of practice.
• Current health certificate.
• Current PPD or Chest X-ray.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the home setting.
• Initiates and modifies the plan of care as patient needs change, with prescriber input.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents effectiveness.
• Monitors patient status and reports changes to physician or supervisor.
• Educates patients and families on care needs, discharge planning, and care coordination.
• Reviews plans of care and protocols to support quality home healthcare.
