Jefferson-Blount-St. Clair Mental Health Authority seeks a Mental Health Technician for the N Birmingham area.

The role delivers direct care, instruction, and supervision to residents in a mental illness residential program, typically working every other Saturday and Sunday from 8 PM to 8 AM. Responsibilities include monitoring and training residents in daily living skills, transporting clients, and documenting care in the electronic health record.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Alabama driver''s license with driving record acceptable to agency policy.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Nurse Delegation certification.
• Successful passing of background check and drug screening.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct client care to residents in group home/residential setting.
• Monitors, supervises, and trains residents in daily living skills.
• Provides support services for the home and residents.
• Transports clients per schedule.
• Documents accurately in the electronic health record.
• Administers medication and adheres to Nurse Delegation program.
• Completes required administrative and client-related paperwork.
• Meets attendance and punctuality expectations and updates timecard.
• Maintains credentialing requirements.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
