Job summary

Paycom in Sand Springs, OK is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC drills and machining equipment to produce quality parts according to drawings and production requirements. Read blueprints, measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and other tools, and maintain safety on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of CNC drill experience.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements while working on the shop floor.
• Set up and operate CNC drills and machining equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for required specifications and dimensions.
• Measure parts using tape measures, dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Remove slag and perform grinding as needed to prepare and finish parts.
• Operate overhead cranes to safely load and unload machines and position parts.
• Cut supports to required lengths using a hot saw.
• Occasionally operate forklifts as required.
• Complete assigned work according to established safety, quality, and production requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

This position works in an industrial shop environment and may involve exposure to high noise levels, varying temperatures, elevated work areas, confined spaces, congested work areas, and other shop hazards. The position may require shift work and overtime based on production needs.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, reach, bend, and work in various positions as required.
