Job summary

CUST-O-FAB is seeking experienced welders to join our manufacturing team in Sand Springs. You will read blueprints, interpret weld procedures and symbols, and set up and operate welding equipment to produce components for heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and towers.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and welding experience in an industrial setting. You will contribute to safety, quality, and productivity while maintaining weld qualifications and codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Industrial welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, AutoCAD drawings, weld procedures, and weld symbols.
• Ability to complete weld qualification testing and maintain code weld stamps.
• Follow welding procedures to meet quality standards and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work within established timeframes with safety, quality, and productivity.

• Ability to follow welding procedures and produce welds that meet applicable quality standards and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and Quality Control personnel.

Working Conditions

• This position works in an industrial shop environment and may involve exposure to welding fumes, gases, grinding dust, noise, sparks, heat, cold, and other shop hazards.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely in varying temperatures and shop conditions.
• Ability to safely enter and work within confined spaces associated with heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and towers.
• Ability to safely work at elevated heights while using required fall-protection equipment and tie-off procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, kneel, and work in various positions as required.
• Ability to wear required PPE and safety equipment.
