Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of news show leadership in a national cable or broadcast platform.
• Passion for driving breaking and live coverage of current events, politics and pop culture.
• Strong research skills and news judgment.
• Previous experience in training or people management.

Responsibilities

• Primary manager for operational and scheduling needs on MS NOW weekends programs.
• Work closely with the VP, Weekend Programming and MS NOW Executive team on key operational, training, recruitment, and retention efforts.
• Provide backup for the VP, Weekend Programming and Executive Managing Producer, Weekend Editorial.
• Maintain a production and on-air schedule system using Workschedule.net.
• Develop and deploy an employee training program to increase performance and retention.
• Collaborate with leadership and HR to enhance entry-level recruiting.
