Nexstar Media Inc. is seeking an experienced Weekend News Anchor/Reporter for DC News Now in Washington, DC. You will anchor weekend newscasts, report on weekdays, and contribute to digital and social platforms across WDVM, WDCW, and related assets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a top-40 market, strong storytelling and leadership skills, and the ability to handle breaking news in a fast-paced, regional market across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent experience.
• At least five years professional experience; top-40 market preferred.
• Strong writing and clear communication skills.
• Experience with ENPS, vMix, and digital content management.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit and deliver news stories clearly and concisely.
• Anchor weekend newscasts and report on weekdays.
• Contribute to social media platforms per company guidelines.
• Shoot and edit video as needed and respond to breaking news.
