Job summary

The neurology technologist role at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes, Camden, focuses on performing EEG/EMG/evoked potential studies across age groups. The position includes clinical oversight of non-registered technicians and acting as a super-user for the digital EEG system and long-term monitoring systems.

Schedule is Saturdays 7am–7pm with one Sunday per month, on-call 7pm–12am for emergent LTM as ordered by neurology. Remaining weekly hours are flexible; PTO is included.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year adult and pediatric neurology experience preferred in a clinical setting.
• NICU/PICU experience required.
• EMG and Evoked Potential experience preferred.
• Knowledge of digital EEG systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs various types of electroencephalogram studies.
• Obtains patient history from medical record and documents information in the digital EEG system; ensures orders and charges are correct.
• Maintains the digital EEG and long-term monitoring systems; clips studies to reduce server space.
• Provides clinical oversight for unregistered EEG technicians and ensures quality of procedures.
