Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a Weekend Merchandiser to support our Egg Harbor, NJ team. This part-time role focuses on merchandising, inventory management, and shelf execution across DSD routes.

The position offers 15-30 hours weekly (Thursday–Sunday), mileage reimbursement, and a retention bonus of up to $250. Candidates must have a HS diploma, be 18+, have a clean driving record, and be able to speak English; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise, rotate, label, and stock products on shelves and displays.
• Conduct inventory checks in stores and update the manager with questions.
• Stock and merchandise products at grocery retail and chain stores.
• Execute promotional programs and set up displays and fixtures.
• Perform snack resets in stores and maintain shelf integrity.
• Assemble and modify merchandising racks for franchise accounts.

We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Part-Time Merchandising position, joining our Egg Harbor, NJ team.

• HOURLY RATE: Starting at $16.83/hour depending on experience
• SCHEDULE: 15-30 hours weekly, Thursday-Sunday

This position supports DSD route sales employees and branch staffing needs by performing responsibilities to support merchandising, inventory management, route service, racking placement and resets. You will using your own vehicle and receive mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications You Bring:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Clean driving record.
• Courteous with customer service orientation and demonstrated listening skills.
• Understands and embraces value of safety.
• Ability to professionally and safely operate a personal vehicle.
• Able to understand and speak English. Bi-lingual a plus.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, balancing and lifting and reaching using fine manipulation
• Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Exposed to outside weather elements.

Key Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Merchandising
  • Rotating, labeling, and stocking product onto shelves and promotional displays.
  • Replenish stock as needed.
• Scan Based Trading
  • Conduct inventory checks in franchise accounts that use scan based trading as their receiving and point-of-sale business method.
  • Use hand-held computer to count and input inventory of Herr’s branded products. Update Zone and Branch Manager with any questions or concerns that evolved during visit.
• Stock and merchandise product to grocery retail and independent chain stores. Manage daily accuracy of product inventory.
• Execute company sponsored promotional programs by acquiring temporary and incremental product displays, shelving, and permanent merchandising fixtures.
• Perform snack resets inside retail, independent chains, and grocery stores.
• Assembles, modifies and customizes merchandising racks, specific to franchise and non-franchise accounts sales needs. Uses creativity as a means to resolve and limit merchandising space challenges that may arise in franchise and non-franchise accounts.
