Job summary

Wilson’s Orchard & Farm is looking for a dependable, outgoing person to run our market booth at the Downtown Des Moines Farmers Market on Saturdays. This part-time role is ideal for a college student or anyone who enjoys independent work, meeting new people, and representing a local business.

You’ll load and transport booth materials, set up, operate the POS, greet customers, share product knowledge, maintain samples, and help break down at day’s end. Expect early starts around 5:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Punctual and dependable, able to work independently.
• Willing to start Fridays and Saturdays early.
• Comfortable outdoors in varying weather.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load products and booth materials Friday afternoon.
• Drive to the market and set up the booth.
• Greet customers and answer questions.
• Operate the Square POS and handle transactions.
• Keep booth stocked and organized.
• Break down and secure materials after closing.
