Job summary

Zenni Optical is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for a weekend shift in Obetz, Ohio. You will lead a maintenance team, oversee preventive and reactive maintenance on optical manufacturing equipment, and serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues. The role requires 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, PLC troubleshooting knowledge, and strong leadership.

Friday through Sunday, 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in maintenance in industrial/manufacturing.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a technical or maintenance setting.
• Ladder logic PLC troubleshooting knowledge (programming not required).
• Experience with robotic equipment controlled by PLCs.
• Expertise with PPE and safety practices including safe operation around 480V.
• Proficient with CMMS and maintenance tracking software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coordinate daily maintenance team activities on the assigned shift.
• Serve as primary technical resource and escalation point for complex equipment issues.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of optical manufacturing equipment; balance production support and preventive maintenance.
• Drive installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of inline manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose complex equipment issues and perform repairs using standard tools and documentation.
• Inspect and repair production equipment using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
• Develop and enforce Preventive Maintenance schedules; ensure adherence by team.
